About This Spot

Nestled on Maple Street in the heart of Glens Falls, Peter’s Pub unfolds as a quietly spirited refuge that feels like a familiar handshake from the moment you step inside. It’s the kind of place where the night hums with easy conversation, punctuated by the smooth clinks of glasses and the music hum of a well-worn jukebox vying for attention. Time moves at a comfortable pace here—unrushed but lively enough to cradle the buzz of local stories and shared cheers.

This is a genuine, no-pretense small town bar where sincerity is served as generously as the drinks. The air carries the warmth of years spent welcoming faces both new and well-known, and the bartenders' easy camaraderie sets the tone: friendly, attentive, and ready to keep the good times going without fuss. Whether you’ve come seeking the quiet warmth of a perfectly poured Irish Coffee as a hush falls over the room, or a spirited Pisco Sour amid the glow of late-night conversations, the drinks invite you to settle in and savor the moment.

The crowd reflects the heart of the town—a mix of familiar locals and visitors who find in Peter’s a steady anchor after sunset, especially when the rest of the town quiets down. There’s a rhythm here shaped by genuine connection rather than flashy distractions, where laughter arises naturally, and the occasional nod to a favorite song on the jukebox unites strangers. It’s a place where the focus is on being present: good drinks, good company, and the uncomplicated joy of belonging.

In essence, Peter’s Pub is a warm pause in the day’s bustle, a place to watch the game, share stories, or simply enjoy the comforting cadence of life in Glens Falls. It’s bar life stripped back to its honest core—welcoming, familiar, and quietly unforgettable.

I arrived at peters pub because I was hoping to watch the nights football game and entered a bar that Brett the bartender was welcoming, accommodating and very friendly. The drinks were delicious and appropriately priced. The vibe was great and the customers were kind. A great place to be a patron.

I was in town and staying down the road from here. This is a small town and only two places are open for drinks past 10pm, and as late as 3am. Cash only, no frills, no nonsense. This is your quintessential small town bar. There's a jukebox that plays loud music, but good luck getting your songs played late at night because the queue will be long. Spend your credits at your own risk. The bartender, a gentleman who was very friendly, patiently answered any and all questions I had about local recommendations. My only criticism would be the beer glasses could be cleaned better, and the tap lines probably don't get cleaned out as often as they should, but nary a real complaint from me when the beer is as cheap as $3 a pint, compared to the often outrageous prices just 3 hours south of here. They also serve a limited food menu, but it was late and I wasn't about to ask the bartender to bother at such an hour. Also, I was caught off guard by the fact that you're able to play live lottery games at the bar. Pretty neat. Probably be careful with that while drinking though. If you enjoy a good dive, I highly recommend this place.
